AbstractManuscript Yates Thompson 12 is perhaps the earliest copy of the compilation known as Estoires d'Eracles, and the only one that transmits the text as its original redactor composed it, by joining together the Old French Translation of William of Tyre and the 1184-1232 section of the Chronique d'Ernoul et de Bernard le Trésorier. The speakers, specialist in different fields (history, art history, philology) will examine the development of the textual tradition, of the iconography and the linguistic variation in order to establish the place of Yates Thompson 12 in the textual history of the Eracles and in the manuscript production of the 13th century.
