AbstractIncreasingly, postgraduate researchers are looking to the methods and theories of social network analysis to enhance their understanding of medieval historical evidence. This round table consists of a discussion by four PhD researchers who have done just that. Together, we will explore the opportunities offered, and challenges presented, by this new way of approaching the source material. How much of a learning curve is involved in using the software? Does social network analysis genuinely offer new perspectives or just cool-looking graphs? We will answer these questions and more in this round table.

Participants include Jennifer Caddick (University of Nottingham), Joe Chick (University of Warwick), and Cassidy Croci (University of Nottingham).
